Working condition introduction
The oil master shale hardness < 20Mpa, and the Mono-arm ripper construction efficiency is higher.
Weathering degree:
Solution
1. Working Conditions
Oil Shale is a high-ash combustible sedimentary rock, hardness <20MPa, medium-soft rock with obvious layered structure, well-developed joints, easily fractured.
Traditional blasting is costly and high risk, damaging the layered structure, affecting refining quality.
Mono-arm ripper (C Series) non-blasting mining is the mainstream construction method for oil shale mines.
2. Recommended Equipment
Model | Excavator Tonnage | Application | Core Advantages |
CSJ400C | 40-65t | Surface stripping & breaking | Compact, large working radius |
CSJ700C | 65-85t | Medium-to-large mine face | High output, optimal for large-scale |
CSJ900C | 85-95t | Hard rock, fractured layers | Strong penetration, wear-resistant |
CSJ1200C | 120t | Super large mine face | Extra-large radius, highest output |
3. Production Rate
Hardness | CSJ400C (40-65t) | CSJ700C (65-85t) | CSJ900C (85-95t) | CSJ1200C (120t) |
15-25MPa | 180-220m³/h | 200-240m³/h | 240-280m³/h | 280-320m³/h |
20-28MPa | 160-200m³/h | 180-220m³/h | 220-260m³/h | 260-300m³/h |
25-32MPa | 100-180m³/h | 150-200m³/h | 180-240m³/h | 220-280m³/h |
28-35MPa | — | — | 150-200m³/h | 180-250m³/h |
Reference data from Mono-arm ripper field tests. Actual output varies with conditions, operator skill, and equipment configuration.
4. Construction Process
· Site Survey: Confirm layer thickness, hardness distribution, and water content to select the appropriate model
· Equipment Mobilization: Position the Mono-arm ripper, inspect hydraulic system, connection pins, and attachment
· Surface Stripping: Loosen the surface overburden and expose the oil shale layer
· Breaking & Mining: Break along the bedding direction, control product size to ≤300mm to avoid excessive crushing
· Loading & Hauling: Load broken oil shale onto trucks for transport to storage or refining plant
· Slope Trimming: Use the Mono-arm ripper for slope trimming to ensure a stable and safe mining face
5. Efficiency Comparison
Item | Traditional Blasting
Daily Output (8h shift) | 800-1600m³
Comprehensive Cost | Blasting permits + explosives + labor + safety inspection
Safety Risk | Medium (flying rocks, vibration, long approval cycle)
Impact on Rock Layer | Easily damages bedding structure, affecting refining quality
Environmental Compliance | Requires environmental approval, strict dust/noise controls |
6. Construction Precautions
· Water-Bearing Layer Management: Oil shale softens on contact with water; ensure drainage in rainy season
· Product Size Control: Oversized product affects refining efficiency; configure screening equipment, control size ≤300mm
· Equipment Maintenance: Oil shale dust is heavy; clean radiator daily, replace air filters and hydraulic oil filters regularly
· Slope Angle Control: Mining slope should be ≤45° to prevent collapse and ensure operational safety
· Model Selection: CSJ400C suffices for hardness <20MPa; choose CSJ700C or above when approaching 25MPa
