1. Working Conditions
Argillaceous Sandstone: composed of sand grains and clay minerals, gray-yellow to yellow-brown, hardness 15-30MPa, soft to medium-hard rock. Obvious bedding with weak interlayer bonding, softens and disintegrates on contact with water.
Mono-arm ripper (C Series) is recommended for water-sensitive, soft-medium rock with developed bedding.

4. Construction Process
· Geological Survey: Confirm layer thickness, hardness distribution, water content, and bedding orientation for model selection
· Drainage & Drying: Softens on contact with water; ensure working face drainage before mining
· Equipment Mobilization: Position the Mono-arm ripper, inspect hydraulic system, pins, and safety devices
· Layered Stripping: Strip from top to bottom along bedding, prioritize weathered surface layer, control thickness 300-500mm
· Breaking & Screening: Screen through vibrating screen, control product size ≤350mm to avoid over-crushing
· Slope Trimming: Use Mono-arm ripper or Mono-arm ripper for slope trimming to ensure stable mining face

· Drainage is Priority: Softens on contact with water; ensure working face drainage before operation, never work in waterlogged conditions
· Model Selection: Hardness 15-28MPa; C Series fully capable, no J Series needed
· Utilize Bedding: Fully leverage bedding structure; strip from top to bottom along bedding planes to significantly improve mining efficiency
· Rainy Season Protection: Monitor weather during rainy season; suspend operations during heavy rain to prevent excessive water content
· Equipment Maintenance: Relatively low silica content causes less equipment wear; still check hydraulic oil and pin wear regularly
